  • The zorilla is carnivorous and feeds on invertebrates, small rodents, birds, reptiles and eggs.
  • A solitary species, zorillas are usually only seen together when mating.
  • Like skunks, the zorilla may emit a strong smelling liquid from its anal glands when threatened, although its scent is less pungent.
  • Young zorillas are born in the spring and summer, and are able to kill mice by around 9 weeks old.
