The trumpet-leaved pitcher plant is classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List (1) and listed on Appendix II of CITES (2). Varieties Sarracenia flava atropurpurea, S. f. cuprea, S. f. flava, S. f. maxima, S. f. ornata, S. f. rubricorpora and S. f. rugelii listed on Appendix II of CITES (2).
