Status

Classified as Critically Endangered (CR) on the IUCN Red List (1). Six subspecies are recognised: Urocyon littoralis littoralis, U. l. catalinae, U. l. clementae, U. l. dickeyi, U. l. santacruzae and U. l. santarosae (2).
