The Travancore evening brown is endemic to a small area of mid-elevation forests in the Southern Western Ghats of peninsular India (3).
Habitat
The Travancore evening brown is predominantly restricted to undisturbed Ochlandra reed patches, on thin, poor quality soil, from about 200 to 1,000 meters above sea level (1) (3).
