South American squirrel monkey status

The South American squirrel monkey is classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List (1) and is listed on Appendix II of CITES (2).

Subspecies: Saimiri sciureus albigena is classified as Near Threatened (NT), and S. s. cassiquiarensisS. s. macrodon and S. s. sciureus are classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List (1).
