Glossary
Colony: a group of organisms living together. Individuals in the group are not physiologically connected and may not be related, such as a colony of birds.
Monogamous: having only one mate during a breeding season, or throughout the breeding life of a pair.
Primaries: in birds, the outer flight feathers.
Territory: area occupied and defended by an animal, a pair of animals or a colony.
