Alluvial: Relating to the sediment deposited by flowing water, as in a riverbed, flood plain, or delta.
Endemic: A species or taxonomic group that is only found in one particular country or geographic area.
Nocturnal: Active at night.
Polygyny: In animals, a pattern of mating in which a male has more than one female partner.
