The pig-tailed langur is classified as Critically Endangered (CR) on the IUCN Red List (1) and listed on Appendix I of CITES (2).
Subspecies: The Pagai Island pig-tailed snub-nosed monkey (S. c. concolor) and the Siberut Island pig-tailed snub-nosed monkey (S. C. siberu) are classified as Critically Endangered (CR) on the IUCN Red List (1).
