Status

The oribi is classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List (1). Two subspecies are recognised: Haggard's oribi (Ourebia ourebi haggardi) is classified as Vulnerable (VU) and the Kenya oribi (Ourebia ourebi kenyae) is classified as Extinct (EX) (1).
