Eight of ARKive's world class contributors will speak at Wildscreen's nature photography symposium, WildPhotos, on 23 & 24 October at the Royal Geographical Society in London. WildPhotos is the UK’s premier event for those passionate about nature photography. With a sensational line-up of over 20 of the world’s finest nature photographers and industry experts, including winners from the prestigious Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, this two-day event, held at the Royal Geographical Society in London, promises to inspire and enthuse. UAE competition deadline approaches If you are a wildlife enthusiast with photos or films of species that can be found in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), then ARKive wants to hear from you. As part of its relationship with the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, Wildscreen is running a competition to find the very best audio-visual records of UAE wildlife to sit alongside work from thousands of the world’s finest filmmakers and photographers at www.arkive.org, with the overall winner receiving a copy of the Planet Earth book signed by Sir David Attenborough. ARKive joins up with ILCP at WiLD9Always looking to engage with an international audience, ARKive has joined up with the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP) to help deliver the WiLD SPEAK conservation communications symposium, taking place during the WiLD 9 Congress, in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico this coming November. The WiLD SPEAK programme (9 - 12 November) will include a series of world class photography and filmmaking events, including exhibits, workshops, lectures, screenings and presentations by some of the world’s best conservation photographers and wildlife filmmakers, brought together by ILCP and ARKive. |
