Juliana's golden-mole  (Neamblysomus julianae)

Bushveld: A habitat consisting of extensive grasslands with scattered trees and bushes, found in the east of the interior of South Africa.
Endemic: A species or taxonomic group that is only found in one particular country or geographic area.
Torpor: A sleep-like state in which the body processes slow to a fraction of their normal rate.
