Golden-crowned sifaka  (Propithecus tattersallli)

Range

Endemic to Madagascar, the golden-crowned sifaka is found only in a small area in the northeast of the country. The species is found in fragments of forest centred on the village of Antanimarazoko; the entire range is just over 88,000 hectares, about half of which is forest (6).

Habitat

Inhabits dry, deciduous or semi - evergreen remnant forest patches (4); all known populations are found below 700 metres above sea level (6).
