- Sadly the Cuban macaw is now Extinct because of the destruction of nesting trees and hunting for food.
- As its name suggests, the Cuban macaw was endemic to Cuba.
- The Cuban macaw lived in forests and nested in large holes in trees.
- It is thought that the Cuban macaw fed on palm seeds.
Classified as Extinct (EX) on the IUCN Red List (1).
