Amami rabbit  (Pentalagus furnessi)

Range

Endemic to the Ryukyu Archipelago of Japan, this rabbit is only known from the islands of Amami and Tokunoshima (1).

Inhabits forested areas from dense old-growth forest to more disturbed areas (4).
